Pulwama terror attack: Braveheart from Mandya among martyred CRPF jawans
BENGALURU: A CRPF jawan, H Guru, a native of Mandya district in Karnataka was martyred in the terrorist attack on the force's convoy in Kashmir on Thursday.

Guru, son of Honnayya from Gudigere village in Maddur taluk of the district, was among the over 2,500 jawans travelling in the convoy that was attacked.

He had joined the paramilitary force 7-8 years ago and was deployed in Jharkhand before being posted in Kashmir.

Guru had married just six months back and had recently constructed a home.

He was returning to Srinagar from Jammu after completing his leave. He had joined duty on Sunday, February 10.

Guru had spoken to his mother on phone at noon, hours before the attack. His wife Kalavati was informed about Guru's death in the evening.
